New blog is up!

The blog is up! Here you can keep up to date with all of the news from the Exercise Rolling Eagle team.

So what are we doing?

From July to September 2015, three Officer Cadets from Exeter University Officer Training Corps will be undertaking a trans-American cycling challenge, with the goal of cycling from West to East across the continent of North America.

This challenge will be an entirely self-sufficient endeavour, meaning we will carry all equipment on our bikes throughout and be camping for the majority of our journey. The route will take us across all of the Northern States between Seattle and New York City, and briefly into Canada.

This challenge is in support of the two unit charities, The Army Benevolent Fund, and Dartmoor Rescue Group. We aim to raise funds and awareness for the ABF and Search and Rescue Teams nationwide and to conduct fund raising and outreach events locally and further afield to inspire others to help these charities. These events will include several 24 hour cycle challenges in public places, regional and national rides and running events.

This blog will be updated with training, team biographies and news throughout the build up and event.

The team: Owen Jones, Jake Howells and Richard King.

Team bios to come next time...
